River Parks Invites the Public to River Clean-Up Day on Feb. 23rd

River Parks Volunteer Clean-up Day

As a part of an ongoing effort to clean up the banks of the Arkansas River in 2013, River Parks is inviting the public to participate in a volunteer clean-up day on Saturday, February 23, 2013. “We can use as many volunteers as possible,” says John Graham, River Parks Public Events Coordinator. “We have over 40 miles of banks and trails that need regular upkeep, and we love to have any help the public could provide on February 23rd.”

How to Volunteer

In order to volunteer, volunteers are to meet at River West Festival Park at 9 AM, February 23rd (map). Gloves and trash bags will be provided, along with drinks and snacks.

River Parks would like to thank the Oklahoma Assembly of the Church of God Youth (www.okchog.org) for their commitment of 250 volunteers! These volunteers will be following up the public volunteer efforts by cleaning up several areas in the afternoon of Saturday, February 23.
