Rowing, Kayaking, & Boating

Rowers practice on the Arkansas RiverThe Tulsa Rowing Club is located on the west bank of the river at 2100 South Jackson in the River West Festival Park.  Rowing activities occur on Zink Lake year-round and club members regularly compete in regattas around the country, as well as host such activities here in Tulsa.  The Club offers adult and youth rowing for men and women.

Kayaking is popular at the Tulsa Wave, an area south of Zink Dam on the west bank of the river.  Whitewater is created by the rock jetty and enhanced by boulders placed to improve the kayaking conditions.

Non-motorized boats are allowed on Zink Lake and may be launched at the public boat Kayakers find a rest stop on the Arkansas Riverramp located in the Festival Park.  There are no boat or kayak rentals in the park.

Please Note:  All park activities, including water-oriented recreation, are “at your own risk.”  The Arkansas River is subject to swift currents and rapidly fluctuating water levels; there are no water safety patrols.
