Our Mission: To enhance community life through stewardship of parks and public spaces along the Arkansas River.
Our Vision: To provide the region’s premier public spaces for a diversity of outdoor experiences.
Offering the best in outdoor recreation, River Parks’ 26 miles of asphalt-surfaced trails weave past gathering areas, playgrounds, fountains and sculptures along the banks of the Arkansas River in Tulsa. Additionally, River Parks owns and leases hundreds of acres reserved for wildlife habitation and land preservation. River Parks also controls the water levels of portions of the Arkansas River using the gates of the Zink Dam.
About the Park
The park’s varied landscape ranges from manicured lawns to the rugged terrain of the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness. River Parks offers dual trails for pedestrians and cyclists, plus seasonal enjoyment of fishing, rowing, kayaking, disc golf, the Blue Rose restaurant, and an outdoor cafe, Elwood’s. The 45 miles of dirt trails on Turkey Mountain are perfect for hiking, mountain biking and equestrian use.

River Parks was established as a public-private partnership in 1974. Tulsa County and the City of Tulsa provide the majority of funds for day-to-day River Parks operations. These funds are generously supplemented by private benefactors whose gifts, large and small, make River Parks one of the premier public park facilities in the region.
